In response, Omron proposes to incorporate new technologies such as AI, IoT and Robotics to create innovative solutions for the production floor. We refer to this concept as innovative-Automation. Through innovative-Automation, we aim to bring innovation to manufacturing along 3 axes or ‘i’s. The first is ‘integrated’, or the evolution of control technologies to support ultrahigh speed, and ultrahigh precision manufacturing. The second is ‘intelligent’, or leveraging ICT technologies to enable manufacturing facilities to leverage data relevant to the manufacturing process. The third is ‘interactive’, or achieving a new level of human-machine collaboration. Today I will talk about ‘integrated’ and ‘intelligent’ in more detail.
