Next, I will discuss our initiatives to reduce the number of cerebral hemorrhage and cardiovascular events to zero. Please refer to slide 30. Many patients that suffer strokes or heart attacks go on to experience debilitating aftereffects. In cases where patients require ongoing nursing care, the physical and psychological burden on caregivers is often very significant. Given this, Omron believes that the optimal approach is to implement initiatives that prevent the incidence of such events. Omron will develop and launch a business aimed at preventing cardiovascular events. Specifically, we are targeting the use of a wearable BPM currently under development to collect vital sign data to be analyzed using AI technology. The wearable device will collect vital sign data on a 24-hour basis. Omron will supply this data to doctors providing diagnostic and therapeutic support. We believe that this will allow us to prevent tragic cardiovascular events. We aim to launch this wearable BPM in FY2018, starting with North America.
