- 00:57:31.1 Thank you for the presentation.
Your stated goal for VG 2.0 is to aim to become a qualitatively and quantitatively superior value-generator for the people of society and the Earth. Your stated policy is to achieve ‘self-driven’ growth through innovation derived from the evolution of technology.
Earlier, in the context of AI investments you mentioned increasing engineering resources, which suggests that in addition to the evolution of technology you aim for under VG 2.0, Omron’s organization and management must also evolve. What is your view as CEO?
- 00:58:07.5 Of course, management must also evolve. In particular, as we try to understand how technological innovation will impact our businesses and whether a development represents an opportunity or threat, the ability of management to properly assess a situation is very important.
This time around, we propose to add CTO Miyata as a member of the board, as well as Chairman Kamigama of TDK as an external director. Reflecting the fact that the new medium-term management plan re-positions technological innovation as a key focus, we felt it was incumbent upon us to enhance the board’s ability to assess technological issues.
This is reflected as well on the execution side as well, where our top priority is to tie technological advances to revenue growth.
- 00:59:06.8 Next, the person in the front row. Thank you.
