- 01:11:33.4 I apologize for asking about something that has already been asked several times, but I would like to ask about what you discussed in slides 24 and 25. It seems like many companies, like Fanuc or Yaskawa are talking about IoT. Will you be in direct competition with these players or is your business completely different from theirs?
- 01:11:58.6 If your question is are they our competitors, then yes, they are. That said, what we aim to do is compete for business with integrated package solutions that incorporate ILOR+S. Fanuc has robots but does not have a broad array of other FA components and devices. Fanuc has robot controllers but does not have a controller capable of seamlessly controlling an entire production line. Omron is the only player that has the full ILOR+S lineup and has an integrated controller enabled for all the categories, including robotics. Over the next four years, we will enhance our strengths.
In the area of ‘intelligence’ developed through ICT as shown on slide 25, we have 100,000 models in our portfolio, all of which we propose to enable for IoT. These products are also enabled for global communications standards, so they will not necessarily need to be paired with an Omron controller. Customers have the choice to either buy our devices on a standalone basis or our integrated application software packages. We aim to compete on both fronts.
- 01:13:13.1 Thank you.
