In establishing our sustainability targets, we first focused on contributing to the SDGs. Under our current medium-term management plan VG2.0, we identified the social issues we aim to address. We then considered the development of OMRON’s businesses and its own unique products and services, to understand which SDGs were specifically relevant for each. Based on this, we set our FY2020 targets and KPIs. As a consequence of all of this, we then determined the specific values we aim to create in our efforts to contribute to a better society and to formulate a specific vision for what that we believe a better society will look like.
