Domestic Q1 sales for IAB were quite high. I apologize since I was only able to join the meeting partway through and this question may have been asked already but can you talk about the backdrop and key drivers? Also, in terms of operating conditions, the yen did not depreciate significantly and visibility did not improve measurably during the quarter, so were there structural changes?
Also, it is my understanding that your sensor business is not heavily skewed to a particular industry and is generally evenly distributed, but were there any notable trends you saw, such as the digital industry as referred to earlier? Can you highlight any industries where you are expecting to see strong growth that would be relevant for someone outside of the industry trying to analyze OMRON?
- 00:54:46.0 (Takeda) Looking just at the domestic IAB business, digital was particularly strong, supported by smartphone and semiconductor related investments. We came in slightly ahead of plan for these industries. The automotive industry also continues to show solid appetite for investing.
(Nitto) Trends in the domestic market were generally similar to what we saw elsewhere, although investment levels in semiconductors were particularly strong. We were successfully able to capture the upswing in investments here, especially the increase in investments in semiconductors not only for smartphones but data center applications. Also, in terms of new trends, IoT appears to be driving investments in smaller chips, with investments being made to expand production capacity.
(Takeda) There was a significant contribution from how we are selling our products as shown on slide 11. As you highlighted in your question, we had been selling our products to a broad number of industries and to date, our sales approach did not differ significantly by industry. At the same time, the concept we describe in this slide is based upon the development of industry-specific control applications, which allows us to develop tailored solutions combining the control application software with component devices. We believe we can deliver unique and specific solutions for our customers by bringing together our industry-leading product lineup and industry-specific control applications. We have made progress in selling solutions to our customers in Japan as reflected in the higher sales.
(Nitto) In the past, OMRON had chosen not to focus on specific industries but instead, as you noted, offered products to a broad array of industries through distributors. But, as we show on the previous slide, we are now focused on the auto, digital, food & beverage and infrastructure industries on a global basis, developing industry-specific control application software and dedicated SE and sales teams. Therefore, growth in these focus industries will be a key driver of overall growth at OMRON. The other industries are also growing, but compared to other industries, our growth in the four focus industries is already significantly outperforming the underlying markets. Going forward, we want to further accelerate this growth.

- 00:57:43.3 These will be the final questions.
