H1 sales were ￥416.2 billion, gross profit ￥173.8 billion, operating income ￥36.6 billion and net income attributable to shareholders ￥26.4 billion. Although we reported a Y/Y decline in operating income despite topline growth, we hit new record highs for sales and gross profits. The GP margin improved by 0.3%-points to rise to 41.8%. Despite a deteriorating operating environment, OMRON continues to steadily improve its ability to generate profits.
