【ノート】
Since its establishment, SUBARU has always been committed to “human-oriented car-making”. That includes giving the importance to safety and comfort, the key constituents of which are visibility and car packaging. The exterior appearance of the first Sambar and SUBARU 1000's large instrument panel and front windshield, as shown in these pictures, show how SUBARU has placed importance on broader visibility. As shown by the concept image of the SUBARU 360 in the lower right part of this slide, the car was designed to allow four adults to travel with some luggage in spite of a limited interior space. While other car manufacturers may also prioritize “human-oriented car-making”, I believe that the degree of persistence and priority to this, relative to other performances or cost consideration, are different in development of Subaru. Our “human-oriented car-making” has been an unchanged core of our development throughout Subaru’s history of car-making and will never change in the future.
