These charts show fatal accident rate in the USA and Japan. The horizontal axis shows the year while the vertical axis shows the number of fatal accidents associated with SUBARU cars out of 1 million cars sold (figures for Japan include serious injury accidents). As you can see from the charts, the rate of fatal accidents associated with SUBARU cars is clearly low in the USA market, and SUBARU has also led the reduction of fatal and serious injury accidents in Japan. This data gave us a real sense that our longstanding efforts have really lowered the rate of severe accidents and encouraged us to set out the ambitious goal for 2030 to eliminate fatal accidents.
