As the SUBARU DNA is based in aircraft manufacturing, the focus of our human-oriented car-making has been placed on what is important for users, and thoroughly considering the essential functionality and performance.
For example, we have developed products such as: horizontally-opposed engines that realize a lower center of gravity, which is important for the stability of any moving object; the AWD system for driving with peace of mind in any condition; touring wagons for the enjoyment of driving with full of luggage; touring wagon-based utility vehicles with added rough-road capability for mobility that can take you anywhere, e.g. Outback and Forester; and EyeSight that was meticulously designed to prevent accidents.
We believe “human-oriented thinking,” “thorough consideration of what is important for users,” and “bringing new values to cars” are “SUBARU-ness.”
