We consider integrating our specialty stereo camera recognition capacity with AI-based judgment.
The video clip on the left shows how the stereo camera recognizes and analyzes objects. It recognizes white lines that cannot be detected by a radar system. Moreover, on roads covered with snow where the center lines and road edges are completely hidden, the AI can process and judge the drivable road areas from images provided by the cameras.
The right image shows how EyeSight and AI find an optimal avoidance route and control the vehicle when they determine the vehicle cannot stop before crashing into a car in front that applies brake suddenly.
We will increase safety on all kinds of roads through R&D activities to draw the best out of EyeSight's potentialities for recognition and judgment.
