In Japan, as part of the connected service, we will employ the AACN system.
With AACN, various information such as collision direction, deceleration force, and seatbelt usage, etc. will be notified to a call center automatically in the event of accident. Such information will then contribute to the determination of whether emergency dispatch of ambulances is needed by the algorithm to estimate death/serious injury probability, and an emergency call will be made if deemed necessary. SUBARU is taking part in this scheme.
Research findings show that the fatality rate in traffic accidents could be reduced by 70% by means of rescue 10 minutes earlier, and, in view of this fact, we regard it as a critical system in achieving the goal of zero fatal traffic accidents in 2030.
