52/60 Technology Roadmap for Reduction in CO2 Emissions

This is the technology roadmap for reduction in CO2 emissions. The first row is a roadmap for BEVs. We have announced the joint development with TOYOTA in June 2019. We plan to launch C-segment SUV model in the first half of 2020s. The second row is for HEVs. We have already launched mild hybrid (e-BOXER) in Japan, China and Europe and plug-in hybrid model in the North America market. In addition, we plan to launch strong hybrid models incorporated with Toyota Hybrid System technology in the mid-2020s. Then, in 2030, about 40% of total Subaru sales worldwide will be electrified in the form of BEV or HEV. The third row is for vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. The new Levorg to be launched in the second half of 2020 will have newly-designed 1.8L lean-burn turbo engine. Also, we plan to incorporate some form of electrification technology into all engine vehicles after 2030 and make all models xEVs.
