This slide shows our efforts to improve engine thermal efficiency:
The horizontal axis shows the year of launch while the vertical axis shows the corresponding engine thermal efficiency, which has been improved over time, reaching up to 40% with today's hybrid engines. SUBARU's hybrid engine also exhibits top-level efficiency. Moreover, the 1.8L lean-burn turbo engine under development is estimated to exhibit even higher thermal efficiency.
For the future, we plan to take these four approaches on the slide to achieve our target thermal efficiency of 45% by 2030.
