- 00:29:03.0 Now we will move on to physical distribution. We began with expanding the capacity in Chubu with the second center, and after that we worked on Kansai. We then set up a center above the Yachiyo Plant in Kanto, followed by a second center in Kyushu, the Kansai center, a cross-dock center for systematic linking between the facilities at Minooki-cho in Fukuyama, and the Hachioji Center as a new facility. We have constructed all of these over the past five years.
In fact, our shipments peaked during the Golden Week period on April 28. A total of 120,000 cases, including the quantity from FPCO CHUPA, were shipped that day.
Looking at this room, it would probably fill up if we brought in 100 cases, 150, or perhaps 200. 1000 cases means 10 times 100, 10,000 is 10 times more 1000, and 100,000 is 10 times 10,000. Perhaps a 6,000 tsubo warehouse would reach full capacity at around 120,000 cases.
Well, this warehouse was completely emptied in just one night. That provides you with a good idea of how large our distribution capacity is.
It is hard to express verbally, but these days I tell our internal staff to realize that our responsibility to supply products is extremely important, to the point that no convenience stores or supermarkets could do business without our products. I also encourage them to realize that we meet this responsibility.
This means that the negative impact on our customers caused by our supply failures simply does not compare with the level in the past. Actually, we will be introducing private power generation systems at all of our centers this year to ensure operation continues uninterrupted in the event of a 72-hour power outrage. These systems are also included in the amount of investment.
