When it comes to what container manufacturers can do, convenience stores already take it for granted that rice will be separated from wet ready-made food. At supermarkets, rice and ready-made food items are still not separated, for example with Katsudon (rice topped with a fried pork cutlet). The sauce soaks into the rice. Instead, an inner tray should be used to separate the rice from the cutlet. It tastes better if the cutlet is placed on the rice just before it is eaten. To us, this means that the market of inner trays is definitely expanding. For salads, toppings are becoming better and better. Salads are evolving into ready-made food items. Accordingly, inner trays are becoming more and more necessary. In addition, we have been suggesting for three years that the conventional perception of sozai, or ready-made food, as already prepared should be overturned. The point is that food tastes best when it has just been prepared.
