- 00:02:19.6 Now let me outline the consolidated results in FY 2012. Consolidated direct premiums written rose 3.1% year on year, to ￥3,050.3 billion. Consolidated net premiums written also increased 3.1% year on year, showing a continuing upward trend. The main factor is increases in premiums in voluntary automobile and compulsory automobile liability insurance at both of the two main non-life insurance companies, reflecting strong sales of new vehicles and the impact of rate revisions. Premiums written also increased steadily in almost all other line. Consolidated ordinary profit stood at ￥150.3 billion, and consolidated net income was ￥83.6 billion, rising sharply from the previous fiscal year, when a consolidated ordinary loss and a consolidated net loss were posted due to the effects of the floods in Thailand and a lowering of corporate tax rates. I will be briefly describing the factors for the increases in profits on the next page.
