I would now like to take some time to highlight the results we are seeing in China in 1H as a result of our growth strategy for IAB. China was the first country where we rolled out our initiatives to focus on growth industries. We are already starting to get results. Our 1H China sales rose 9% YoY in 1H on a local currency basis. If we look just at our four target industries (digital, automotive, food & beverage, and infrastructure), revenues improved 24% YoY. In particular, digital, where the key end product is the smartphone handset, we reported 40% YoY revenue growth. This reflects our success in fully capturing the needs of local smartphone handset manufacturers, where appetite to invest remains strong, with solutions-driven sales activities. Specifically, we were disciplined in ensuring that our proposals both fully leveraged our broad product lineup on the hardware side, centered on our controllers, while also integrating a software package incorporating applications that directly addressed the real world challenges facing our customers. By digging deeper to understand our customers’ issues, we were able to increase the number of items we placed with a customer through a single opportunity. We were also able to significantly increase the number of customers. Our 3 + 1 industry strategy and innovative-Automation strategy are now starting to deliver results in areas outside of China. We will continue to focus on growing our businesses globally. This covers our 1H results.
